Your Story Starts Here!
It has been one year since the Iron War, a brutal campaign for the kingdoms of Eldoria and Rhuslag who fought with great courage against their common enemy, the Ventara Empire. However, the war came to an abrupt halt when the King of Rhuslag and his family were taken captive and killed by revolutionaries led by the King’s own trusted spiritual advisor.
The instability of war wreaked havoc on the people of Rhuslag, forcing many to flee to Eldoria to start a new life. Some of them found refuge in a troupe of circus performers, The Curious Carnival, which continued to dazzle audiences while welcoming misfits, refugees, and anyone who needed a home.
Tonight is the 100th birthday celebration of Vanya Kalderash, the carnival’s famed fortune-teller! Not everything looks like it will be fun and games though--rumor has it that not everyone is happy with the current ringmaster, Emeri Petrovic, and there are whispers of impossible feats taking place outside of the tents. And what of the gossip the circus is peddling something more than entertainment? Tonight is bound to be a showstopper, come see the magic up close!

Foulplay Games are immersive, interactive mystery experiences able to be played online or in person. Before the game, players receive a character profile with a backstory, personality traits, and various goals to accomplish. Once the game begins, guests "act" as their character, interacting with others, and moving through scenarios while investigating, bribing, or blackmailing other characters. Then, SPOILER ALERT, a murder takes place! After that, players receive their Goals and Objectives for the rest of the game. The murderer knows they are the killer and is trying to cover their tracks while the other players are trying to figure out whodunnit! Many players will have secrets of their own to hide. In the end, there are awards for Best Performer, Costume, and more and players have an opportunity to share their secrets with the rest of the group. As Host, you can play a character and keep the identity of the murderer a secret, even from yourself!
