A Murder Mystery Love Story 💌
In the spirit of Valentine's Day, we recently stumbled across a BuzzFeed article this week called “One Day Turned Into 12 Years”: Couples Are Sharing Their Unbelievably Cute “How We Met” Stories and we really had to laugh.
“We were at a mutual friend's murder mystery party, and we were paired up in the game as a couple. That's how we met.”
Now, I know this is 100% possible because it is how our best friend Morgan met her husband, Riley! Read on for a Foulplay murder mystery love story 💘
"Ironically, the first time i met my current husband, we were paired up in a murder mystery game as husband and wife. However, I was cheating on him with a vampire (our good friend, Gavin). Though we were both dating other people at the time, we had so much fun together!
"Over the next two years we played several murder mystery games together. When we ended up working in the same place years later (and we're both single) we already knew we were both awesome people from many "Foulplay" shenanigans. The transition from friendship to couple was pretty seamless. And our iconic first meeting has become a favorite story."
Kristen and I are even in the wedding photo, see above! And Morgan and Riley continue to have so much fun together!
There is a real power in hosting a murder mystery party in connecting friends and family together, and we have seen the magic over and over again. And get this, it is not even the only wedding we have been to from a couple who met at a Foulplay murder mystery game!
There has never been a better reason to host or attend a murder mystery party. You might solve a crime. You might make a new friend. Or you might meet the person you’ll spend the rest of your life with.
